TOWN HALLS

The Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates sponsored a virtual Town Hall on the Mayor's Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, which was held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 via Zoom.

The Mayor is required by the City Charter to release her Proposed Budget for the next fiscal year by April 22 (extended from the 20th this year due to the weekend).  The City Council must act on that Budget by the end of May.  The Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates are typically invited to make a presentation with our budget recommendations.

This April 27th Town Hall was an opportunity to get familiar with the Proposed Budget and related online resources.  New Council File 24-0600 has been opened and the proposed Budget and related documents will be posted there once they have been released.  There is where your NC can file its budget-related Community Impact Statements and where public comments may be submitted.
